Amanda (Boudreaux) Roser

I am a New Orleans native, who lived in Dallas for 5 years and moved to Boston in 2015. I started my career in product management in a leading sales and marketing services company in the consumer goods industry at Crossmark. I then worked with an organization promoting wetlands education to 850 youth, organized restoration and conservation projects for 350 volunteers and raised $2,000 through fundraising campaigns. 

 

Later I moved to Dallas to complete my Bachelor of Arts in Emerging Media and Communications at UT Dallas; where I focused on social media channels, public relations, graphic design and web design at the university. While working on my undergrad - I worked part time managing social media pages for UT Dallas Facilities Management, Bennigan’s, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Strada Fitness Center, Bob’s Steak and Chop House, Eye Pieces, Palio’s Pizza Cafe and Coldwater Technology to enhance their social media presence. Other tasks included designing innovative social media content to generate likes, shares and positive interaction with our clients’ current and potential customers.

 

Right after completeing my Bachelors, I worked for ReachLocal managing 60 clients websites SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Campaigns. As a SEO Project Manager, I enhance visibility on the search engines by managing their front and back end of their website using Google Analytics and Webmaster tools to create the best strategy to propel a clients website organic search growth.

 

Early 2015, my husband and I moved to Boston.

Managed multiple eCommerce clients' website SEO, to enhance and grow their visibility through a strategic SEO plan. Performed on-site optimizations, site analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis using Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, and BrightEdge tools. Edited meta tags, improved directory listings structure, created a new Social Audit, and researched strong link opportunities relevant to clients' industries. Monitored clients' sites performance closely and reported on the site's growth on a monthly basis for internal progress analysis and strategies.

Provide insight and advice for clients SEO campaigns through reports and analytics. Continuously analyze and provide recommendations on SEO strategies and processes to evolve and better enhance client's visibility on search engines. Enhance clients social media platforms and connect the pages to their website to syndicate weekly blog post. Coordinate and maintain assigned accounts balancing client implementation needs with SEO strategy. Work closely with the SEO analyst to fully optimize clients SEO campaign.

Created a social media strategy and designed all platforms for Coldwater Tech from the ground up. Managed the social media content creation and implementation of information on: Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin. Responsible for writing creative copy for direct marketing campaigns targeting small to medium sized businesses and existing customers.

Developed and managed social media platforms on Facebook and Twitter. I effectively expanded the audiences and increased awareness of department. Worked closely with the Assistant Director for Energy Conservation & Sustainability on various projects from communications, website redesign and green event coordinating. Communication project topics range from construction, sustainability, gardening and/or instant updates that effect the entire campus.

Manage 18 clients social media pages; ranging from Bennigan’s and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop to Eye Pieces and Palio’s Pizza Cafe. Created graphic designs, maintained and developed companies websites. Assisted in writing Press Releases and blog post for clients. Other duties include live event promotion via social media, client scheduling, and Facebook advertising/ promotions.

Graduated with honors at The University of Texas at Dallas in Spring 2014 semester. Through working on digital media projects, EMAC majors develop critical, creative, and collaborative skills in web design, digital aesthetics, writing and research, social media, and platform and application development.

 

This degree program not only challenged me to think about how media and communication function today, but also equipped me with the tools to critically understand and create the digital media of tomorrow.
